Among many talented and promising acts emerging from Finland’s burgeoning indie scene recently, there has been one name that has embodied the sound of this new wave of Nordic indie more than any other – NEØV. Since their formation back in 2008, brothers Anssi and Samuli Neuvonen have been constantly exploring their expansive sound, releasing five enrapturing albums so far. In 2025, NEØV returned to Iceland’s legendary Sundlaugin studio to record their new album with Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Jon Hopkins, Björk). NEØV have performed at festivals around Europe, been featured in Rolling Stone, Q and Visions, and received radio rotation on Radio Eins Germany and Ego FM. The new album ‘Goodbye Nordhamn’ will be released in autumn 2026.
