METRO VERLAINE Neue Zukunft, Berlin am 16.04.27
Informationen
Metro Verlaine is a story of passion and electricity born from a trip to London and a visceral love for post-punk, the CBGB scene and damaged pop. Since 2013, the duo formed by Raphaëlle (vocals) and Axel (guitar) has been forging its path between dark pop and raw energy.
After a highly acclaimed first EP (Manchester), which notably led them to the Transmusicales of Rennes, followed by three albums : Cut-Up, produced by Charles Rowell from the band Crocodiles, Funeral Party and Pop Sauvage, the band has asserted an intense and romantic identity.
Metro Verlaine then went on extensive tours in France and the United Kingdom, before concluding the Pop Sauvage cycle with a tour of around ten dates in Brazil.
In October 2026, Metro Verlaine will unveil RODEORAMA, a new album recorded at the Quiksilver brand’s studio in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. More direct and cinematic, the record deepens an introspective and contrasted writing style, carried by a dark and elegant pop sound, attentive to words and images.
RODEORAMA notably includes Bye Bye Rimbaud, a duet with Lescop, an obvious meeting point between two worlds sharing the same sensitivity for melodic darkness and poetry.
